HOW IT WORKS
A high efficiency heat source warms water. Small pumps circulate warm water in tubes embedded in KHart Panels on the floor. KHart Panels quickly spreads out the warmth across the entire floor surface. The warm floor surface radiates heat upward.
KHart Panels features Align-Simple Technology. Panel edges can be mis-aligned and the tubing will still click in, resulting in quicker installation time. Tubing stress is reduced at the panel edges preventing unwanted leaks years later.
Plywood vs. OSB
Plywood is better quality, more water resistant and has a smoother surface. OSB is less expensive and has a lower profile height.
Aluminum vs. Graphite
Graphite manages heat flow by spreading heat better than aluminum across the surface (x) and insulating better through its thickness (y). The thermal conductivity of graphite across its surface (x) is about 100 times greater than through its thickness (y). The thermal conductivity of aluminum is the same (x) and (y). Graphite passes Blue Tooth and other wireless signals, aluminum does not. Aluminum is less expensive.
Polystyrene
Polystyrene is mold and water-resistant, a great insulator and does not require reflective bubble wrap underneath on an existing concrete application.
